The opportunity
Bridge Street Town Centre is the premier mixed-use lifestyle center in Huntsville, Alabama. Owned and developed by O&S Holdings, Bridge Street includes 550,000 sq. feet of retail lifestyle center featuring a Monaco Pictures theater, 70 upscale shops and restaurants, a 210-room hotel, and 74 residential units. Influenced by the Tuscany region of Italy and the Provence region of France, Bridge Street consists of a pedestrian walking street that spans two sides of a lake. The central focal point is the bridge and thusly is the project’s namesake.
O&S Holdings sought a security services company with extensive experience in the shopping center industry. Additionally, they were looking for expertise and a fundamental understanding of Grand Opening operations to help support them in their own that was scheduled for November 1 – 4, 2007. A challenge of this particular Grand Opening was that the center was still under construction, with only about 40% open to the public at the time of the opening.
